About the Department
The Department of Mathematics has 14 faculty members with Ph.D degree working on diverse areas such as Functional Analysis, Harmonic Analysis, Fluid Mechanics, Graph Theory, Fuzzy Theory, Algebraic Coding Theory, Image Processing, Stochastic Process, Queuing Theory, Analysis, Algebra and Topology. The department has been recognized as a research center of Anna University, Chennai and students are pursuing Ph.D Programme. The Department organizes workshops, FDPs, international conferences periodically sponsored by funding agencies.

Mathematical Analysis is one of the most compelling areas of research because of its rich applications. First International Conference on Mathematical Analysis and Computing (ICMAC – 2019) which was held at SSN college of engineering. The proceeding of ICMAC-2019 was published in Springer Proceedings in Mathematics & Statistics. It is a prestigious event organized with a motivation to provide an excellent platform for the leading academicians, researchers, industrial participants and budding students to share their research findings with the renowned experts.
